When the Combine faces North Ballarat in the one-day C grade competition, twenty20 fixture this weekend, it will mark a big milestone for McPhan.
McPhan said it was just another game for him, but was excited to hopefully mark the occasion with a win in the top-of-the-table clash.
His games tally could well have been much more having retired at 43, only to return nine years later. While he also spent time playing in Bendigo and for Fitzroy in the Premier League. McPhan said the highlight was vice-captaining the 1991 first grade premiership.
Burrumbeet’s Andre Prenc will also play his 300th match when it hosts Golden Point in one-day A grade action on Saturday. Prenc has taken 560 wickets with best figures of 7-28.
The milestones continue as Wendouree’s Col Feltham notches up his 350th. Since debuting in 1972-73, Feltham has made 6862 runs, including 10 centuries and taken 409 wickets.
