Police are hunting for a driver who swerved into oncoming traffic on a freeway near Bacchus Marsh last week, caused a serious crash and then sped off.

A grey or black SUV, towing a red Wakesetter ski boat, was seen driving east in the west-bound lanes of the Western Freeway, at the Mortons Road overpass, Pentland Hills, about 9.50am last Wednesday.
Police said the 37-year-old driver of another car was forced to take evasive action to avoid a head-on collision, and crashed into the back of a truck.
Despite the extensive damage to his vehicle, he was taken to hospital with only minor injuries.
The SUV did not stop, but moved back into the correct lane and continued travelling east towards Melbourne.
Police believe there were a number of other drivers who saw the incident and are urging them to come forward.
Investigators would also be keen to speak to anyone with dashcam footage of the vehicle travelling in the area or of the actual collision to come forward.
