The new system, painting and landscaping project saw $50,000 invested into the pool for the start of the 2017-18 swimming season.
Ballarat City councillor Ben Taylor was joined by Buninyong community members to unveil the upgrades on Tuesday.
Cr Taylor said they were essential for boosting the pool’s patronage after a drop in turnout in 2016-17’s summer.
“It was very fresh last season, and there was still a reasonable turnout, but not a huge one,” he said.
“The new solar heating will make a huge difference.”
Cr Taylor also said the resowing of grass would provide a better environment for patrons.
“The grass last year was like razor blades, to it is a lot better now,” he said.
Eureka Aquatic Centre has remained closed as repairs to a leak were worked on this month.
Cr Taylor said council hoped it would be ready for use by the end of the year.
