Ireland has ruled out playing an international rules game in Philadelphia but remains open to the possibility of facing Australia in a test being in the United States.

The GAA director general P??raic Duffy inspected the proposed Philadelphia option, Franklin Field, over Christmas but deemed the venue to be unsuitable.
The GAA confirmed Duffy's verdict on the Philadelphia stadium to The Age but said other options in America were still being explored.
Australia is very keen on playing the next test in the US and has looked at potential venues since the players visited New York in 2015 to train ahead of the test match at Croke Park.
As well as New York, Boston and Chicago remain potential options with the AFL believing the Irish population in those centres will ensure the game attracts a crowd.
The AFL was rapt with the two tests played in Australia last year, describing the final game of the hard-fought series as the best ever.
The Aussies won both tests but they were made to work hard for victory.
The national side now attracts the game's best players with Fremantle star Nat Fyfe winning the Jim Stynes Medal as Australia's most valuable player after excelling with the round ball.
The GAA expect discussions with the AFL in February will provide both parties with more clarity on the prospect of a test being played on American soil.
