The Ballarat Gift has attracted 73 and women’s gift 38.
Ballarat Athletic Club is hoping these numbers will be boosted by late entries.
The club has received 810 entries overall and expect another 200 little athletes to compete at CE Brown Reserve in Wendouree.
The Gift’s regular home, the Eastern Oval, is unavailable this year owing to a surface upgrade.
