Tudorovic from Victoria defeated Sebastopol’s Rosaleen Ryan by seven shots at Sebastopol on Sunday
Tudorovic reached the final with a 25-19 win over Kerrie Watts (City Oval), while Ryan overcame Brooke Ayres (Webconna) 25-20.
Ryan led by one shot going into the last end and scored four to keep her championship hopes alive.
The final was all one-way early, with Tudorovic relentless with her first bowl to lead 19-5 as Ryan struggled to find the right line.
Ryan then fought back, scoring 11 shots in the next four ends to close within three.
However, she was unable to maintain the run and Tudorovic now progresses to the regional finals.
GEELONG rallied after an even start to comfortably take out the Whykes Shield against Ballarat District Bowls Division at Bareena.
The annual inter-city contest was evenly poised at the lunch break, with scores level.
However, Geelong resumed much the stronger and went on to win 203 to 176.
Aaron Emonson, Colin Powell, Mick Casey and Zac Stewart were Ballarat’s best rink.
Geelong also came out on top in a battle of executive committee members.
Ballarat led before Geelong levelled the scores on the last end to force a play-off.
It went down to the last bowl of the day, with Ballarat skipper Tom Clarke having to draw
shot to win the end.
Unfortunately his bowl ended in the ditch, leaving Geelong to win by one.
The BDBD’s annual Heartbeat fundraising tournament has again been a resounding success financially.
The event, which attracted 42 rinks to the Ballarat and City Oval clubs, raised $5568 via entry fees, raffles, donations and sponsorship.
Co-organiser Lionel Calf, who managed the competition at Ballarat, said it had been a most enjoyable day, with members of the Gold Diggers development squad taking part to fill a vacancy.
