His recommitment completes the GMHBA Miners roster.
McCallum rejoined the Miners last season after a break from the sport at that level and averaged fours points and five rebounds in a injury-interrupted campaign.
“It’s been a busy off-season in the gym,” he said.
“The body is feeling good and I’m looking forward to another great season.”
McCallum said losing the conference final in overtime had hurt. ”We’ve retained a good core group and we now know what it will take to go all the way. We’re very motivated to get the job done this year,” he said.
Head coach Nathan Cooper-Brown said McCallum was a true veteran of the group – someone he had built a strong relationship with and relied on help with leadership.
“His toughness, and willingness to sacrifice for the group are rare traits, and extremely valuable in the SEABL,” he said.
