The star New Zealander, which was driven by Natalie Rasmussen, rolled to the lead from gate one and was never headed on his way to a narrow victory over champion Lennytheshark, which flashed home late to be beaten only a half-neck.
Emma Stewart-trained Shadow Sax was third.
