German classical ensemble Chamber Philharmonia Cologne will perform at Central Uniting Church Ballarat on Wednesday January 31 from 8pm.
The Ballarat concert will be one of around 300 performances across the world this year, featuring an Australian summer tour.
The diverse performance program includes Antonio Vivaldi’s "Four Seasons", J.S. Bach, Peter Tchaikovsky and Niccolo Paganini.
Ensemble musicians said their objective was to inspire as many people as possible across all generations to enjoy classical music.
“To inspire people across the world to enjoy classical music – that’s what we view as our maxim,” a statement said.
The Australian summer tour follows Chamber Philharmonia Cologne European tours in 2016 and 2017.
They have also toured New Zealand, Spain, Great Britain and Ireland.
The ensemble’s performers trained at the University of Music in Cologne, Germany, a city famous for music and instrumental teaching.
“The real appeal of our program lies in the meeting of popular and unknown works from a wide variety of musical epochs,” an ensemble description read.
Tickets are available at Her Majesty’s Theatre box office on 5333 5888 or at the door of the Central Uniting Church on Wednesday January 31 from 7pm.
Tickets are also available for the Chamber Philharmonia Cologne performance at the Christ Church in Dayelsford on Monday January 29.
