Monday, 3pm: CFA crews are responding to a fire near Berringa, south of Ballarat.
Thirteen vehicles have been dispatched to the fire at the Moonlight Creek crossing of Derwent Jack Road east of the township.
Temperatures have climbed above thirty degrees and the southerly winds are gusting to about 30km/h in Ballarat.
The CFA has issued a notification for the communities of Berringa, Piggoreet, Springdallah, Staffordshire Reef, Newtown that while the fire doesnot yet pose a threat , its progress should be monitored.
The small bushfire is travelling in a northerly direction is not yet under control.
