The team suffered a shock defeat at the hands of Sebastopol last round, but bounced back to form against Creswick on Monday.
City Oval beat the Wickers on their home turf and collected two rink wins in the 83-60 result.
Skippers Ken Magrath and Wayne Roberts picked up the victories for the visitors, while Gerry Flapper’s unit grabbed the only points for the hosts.
City Oval has now broken 33 points clear at the top of the Ballarat District Bowls Division ladder, while Creswick remains in third.
City’s lead has widened given second-placed Central Wendouree lost its clash against Buninyong by 12 shots on Monday.
Playing at the Bears’ home green, Buninyong claimed a 72-60 success to keep its spot in fourth on the table.
Elsewhere, Daylesford jumped over the top of Avenue with victory on Monday.
The Daylesford team won just one of the three rinks, but it was enough to clinch the 11-shot triumph.
Skipper Maureen Tate and her side were behind the success, with the rink winning 43-17.
One rink triumph was also all it took Midlands Golf to prevail over Ballarat Memorial Sports.
Skipper Eric Kosloff led his team to a 38-19 win, which was enough to take the overall result.
The other fixture in round 14 saw Sebastopol defeat lowly Smeaton.
The Kookaburras sit just nine points outside the top four.
Only four home and away rounds remain until finals, which get underway on Monday, February 26.
