A Mini Cooper and a white SUV collided on the Western Freeway in Myrniong on Monday night, causing major delays for Ballarat-bound traffic.
Police said the Mini Cooper flipped following the smash and was left on its roof about 9.40pm.
The driver of the Mini Cooper, a man in his 30s, was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The occupants of the SUV were not injured.
The exact circumstances surrounding the crash are yet to be determined.
Traffic is flowing through the area again.
