Tyler has decided to return to Rupanyup for the 2018 Horsham District Football League season.
The 30-year-old enjoyed a memorable time in the Central Highlands competition, playing in Springbank’s losing grand final in his first year at the club in 2014 and then in the premierships of 2015 and 2016.
Tyler left Rupanyup at the end of 2013 to join the Tigers and told the Wimmera Mail-Times back then that he would always consider a return in the future.
And as it turns out, he will play again with the Panthers this year.
Tyler featured in more than 70 senior games for Springbank and has left the club on the back of its preliminary final defeat by Beaufort last season.
Joining him on the list of key outs is Tyler George, who has returned to North Ballarat City, and Nick Couch, who has moved to the Warrnambool region and will play with old side Terang Mortlake.
Springbank will be coached by Troy Beamond in 2018 after he took over the role from Michael Searl.
Searl led the Tigers throughout the past two seasons and will stay on with the club as a player next season.
Springbank is set to open its 2018 campaign with a round clash against Buninyong.
