David Hussey, Shane Harwood and Nathan Yates were the headline acts as the Yeomans Rentals Cricket for Causes Super 7s event raised about $15,000 on Sunday.

Hussey and Harwood – who both played for Australia – and multiple EJ Cleary Medal winner Yates played for a range of teams in the carnival, which was held at Victoria Park.
A team by the name of Backyard Legends took out the men’s division of the six-over, seven-a-side competition, while a side from Coburg claimed victory in the women’s category.
Ballarat Regional Integrated Cancer Centre is the major beneficiary of the funds, with Ballarat and District Suicide Prevention Network, Cricket Without Boundaries, Cafe Meals 102, Royal Children’s Hospital (Good Friday Appeal) and the Coronet City Cricket Club also receiving money.
Money was also raised for the McGrath Foundation.
