MORE than 15,000 people are expected to flock to Lake Wendouree for the annual SpringFest Market Sunday this weekend.
One of Ballarat’s biggest fundraisers for the year, SpringFest will again feature hundreds of stalls and activities for the entire family.
And with warm and dry weather forecast it promises to be another showcase event for Ballarat. There will also be events on Saturday.
Timed to coincide with the current Ballarat in Bloom campaign, which highlights the best of the city during the spring months, SpringFest will raise money for a number of Ballarat charities and community groups.
Among the attractions will be the Shannon’s Show and Glow that will feature about 300 cars from across the state, an outrigger canoe regatta, a Sovereign Hill by the Lake experience, a fairyland kids’ adventure area, an outdoor Ballarat Beerfest garden, and a tram-pull strength competition.
Ballarat Regional Tourism chairman Stuart Benjamin said Market Sunday would be a great day out for everybody.
