Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene following reports the white hatchback had lost control and veered off the Western Freeway near shopfronts just before 1pm.
Ambulance Victoria spokesman John Mullen said paramedics assessed three children for seat belt injuries.
One was taken to St John of God Hospital in a stable condition for further assessment.
Two adults escaped relatively unscathed in the incident.
While circumstances leading up to the crash remain unclear, it’s believed no other vehicles were involved.
