As part of the festivities, the Chinese Australian Cultural Society will perform a traditional lion dance, shedding good luck and prosperity to all those that attend.
A chinese banquet is on the menu and there will be plenty of prizes to be won.
If you were born in the year of the dog – including 1934, 1946, 1958, 1970, 1982, 1994, 2006 and 2018 – and like a bet, three, four and nine are your lucky numbers. Red and green are among the lucky colours.
Wednesday night’s meeting kicks off with the first race from 6.57pm, with the last to jump at 10.42pm.
Racing will return to the club the following Monday afternoon.
