Telstra reports Apple services iMessage and FaceTime are now progressively being restored to customers on the east coast.
“Earlier today some customers experienced a disruption to Apple iMessage and FaceTime services,” a Telstra spokesman said. “We worked with Apple to resolve this issue. Services are now being progressively being restored. We apologise for any inconvenience this caused.”

TELSTRA’s issues with the iMessage service and FaceTime fails is affecting Ballarat customers.
The service is reported down in eastern states including capital cities Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.
A Telstra spokesman said the company became aware of the issue at 9am and to note the Telstra SMS platform was working, which customers could use to send messages.
”Some customers may be experiencing an issue with Apple iMessage and FaceTime. Customers continue to have the option to send SMS messages,” he said.
“We’re working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible, and apologise for any inconvenience. We’ll provide more information as soon as it’s available.
Most customers have taken to social media to vent their frustrations.
