While Malseed earned automatic selection by winning the Cycling Australia Road National Championships road race at Buninyong in January, she was formally named in the national team on Tuesday.
“It’s gettin' real now,” Malseed posted in an Instagram from the United States, where she is now based with professional teamTIBCO-Silicon Valley Bank.
“Humbled to be officially announced as part of the six-strong women representing Australia. Cannot wait to get out there and race with a team full of my idols and role models. It's a truly special feeling,” she said.
