The SHAC Pop-Up is in the former Yummy Patisserie until Saturday, offering a peek at the artworks that will feature in another SHAC event – ArtWalk in May.
Works from 16 different artists, all residents of Soldiers Hill, are on display and sale including the works of new member Helmut Stenzel who now follows his passion for typography using old wooden letterpress type.
The exhibition also features photography, oil painting, watercolours, lino cut, sculpture, weaving, print making and more.
“The pop-up phenomenon is increasingly common and there are plenty of vacant shops in the Ballarat CBD so the owners of the premises we are using were delighted when we asked if they would be interested in having a pop up art show,” said SHAC spokesman Cliff Adeney.
The SHAC Pop Up exhibition is open 10am to 4pm until Saturday at 428A Sturt St.
