STOLEN: The missing showbag trailer.
POLICE are appealing for help from the public to recover $50,000 in stolen trailers.
Thieves on Sunday night targeted two separate businesses on Old Creswick Road.
Stolen was a $30,000 Showbag Corner trailer used at shows and fairs.
On the same night thieves also stole a portable light set trailer from Terick Construction on Old Creswick Road, which was seen being towed into the city.
Ballarat Criminal Investigation Unit Detective Senior Constable John Jess said it would have taken heavy duty vehicles to steal the trailers.
"We're asking anybody who might have seen something between midnight on Sunday night and 8am on Monday to come forward," he said.
"We are presuming they are connected at this stage."
