A Central Highlands Football League premiership player with the Tigers in 2016, Eltringham kicked 50 majors from just nine senior games last year.
He has requested a transfer to join Cairns Saints for season 2018.
Springbank will be coached by Troy Beamond this season and will kick off its campaign with a clash against Buninyong on Saturday, April 7.
