Aimed at youngsters between the ages of five and 15, but open for any female player, the event is scheduled for this Wednesday.
BDSA’s Karla Devlin said the free clinic would be conducted by qualified Football Federation Victoria coaches, with assistance from people involved with local soccer clubs.
This city’s women’s state league club – the Ballarat Eureka Strikers – is also expected to be involved.
Devlin said the BDSA is hoping to add under-11 and under-13 female competitions to the already-strong under-16 girls and open senior women divisions in 2018.
Registration for Wednesday’s come-and-try clinic opens at 4pm, with the action to take place between 4.30pm-6.30pm. It will be held at Ballarat’s Morshead Park.
