Anita Hughes, Andrea Donaldson and Judy Fitzgerald scored 100 points to clinch the women’s tournament on Monday.
Hughes finished the day with 36 points, Donaldson 35 and Fitzgerald 29.
Commonwealth was among clubs from across the state represented.
They were joined by players from Gisborne, Beaufort, Hepburn Springs, Portland, Kyneton, defending champion Horsham and Ballarat clubs.
Joan Miller from Midlands took out the indiviudal A grade honours with 34 points from Wendy Thomas.
The Begonia Bowl was first played in 1975, when the Ballarat Golf Club ladies’ committee sought to organise a competition as part of the Begonia Festival.
BGC women’s sub-committee secretary Trina Jones said member Cynthia Richards was at the time a British Airways representative in Ballarat and through her influence persuaded British Airways to donate the Begonia Bowl trophy.
She said Richards and her husband sponsored the event for many years, with the Faull Family from Faulls Shoes now backing the event.
