Five vehicles remain on the scene of a grass and scrub fire near the Midland Highway in Clarendon which has been declared safe.
No buildings were impacted by the fire which was about 1.5 hectares in size.
The fire was declared under control 20 minutes after first being called in.
Police were required for traffic control.

There are now 11 fire vehicles fighting the blaze.
There is currently no threat to communities, but CFA advises those in the area should continue to stay informed and monitor conditions.

People in the area are advised to be wary of smoke. Traffic in the area may be impacted.
