A woman is wanted over a brazen daylight robbery at a Wendouree service station this afternoon.

The lone woman walked into the Liberty service station near the corner of Dowling and Norman streets at about 1pm this afternoon and demanded cash and cigarettes.
She threatened the attended but no weapon was seen.
Acting Detective Senior Sergeant Rob Pama said police were combing the area looking for the woman who was believed to have run towards nearby Browns Parade.
“At this stage we’re looking for a female, we haven’t got many leads as to who it is,” he said.
“There were no weapons sighted and no injuries to any of the staff involved.
“The woman demanded cigarettes and cash, but we haven’t got a great deal of leads.”
Senior Sergeant Pama said there had been a couple of similar daylight incidents in the area in recent times but would not speculate if they are connected.
