The competition is scheduled to run on Sunday, 18 March, from 6.30am to 2.30pm.
Competitors will have exclusive use of the lake for the day, to enable boats, canoes, and kayaks to be part of the competition as well as fishing from the shore.
Registration will take place on Sunday from 6am at Durham Point, Lake Wendouree, or you may register here prior to the event.
Entry will be $30 for an adult and $12 for children up to age 15.
Kathy Rivett of the Alfredton Rotary Club spoke about her anticipation for the event.
“We hope to attract people to partake in boat, kayak, canoe and shore fishing with the tutoring opportunities to share fishing skills and knowledge with seasoned fishermen for people new to this sport,” Mrs Rivett said.
Some exciting prizes will be available for those who place in each event, including a rudder-controlled fishing kayak, cash, boating and fishing gear and gift vouchers.
There will also be a barbecue running throughout the day for competitors and spectators.
