A young woman was lucky to survive after a truck rollover in Millbrook, near Gordon, on Friday afternoon.
It’s believed the truck was travelling towards Ballarat before it lost control on a sweeping bend of the Old Melbourne Road about 1.35pm.
Emergency crews were first called to the scene following reports of the female driver being trapped but she was able to free herself from the vehicle as paramedics arrived on scene.
The woman, believed to be aged in her mid-20s, was taken to Ballarat Base Hospital with leg and arm injuries.
Police officers told The Courier the incident “could have been much worse”.
An investigation will be launched into circumstances leading up to the rollover.
The truck was carrying water and no other vehicles were involved.
