A severe weather warning has been issued for the the southern part of Victoria as strong winds hit the state.
Winds up to 100km/h are expected in some areas tonight, while they could reach as high as 120km/h on Sunday morning.
The extreme winds come as a cold front sweeps the state, with a top of just 19 degrees forecast in Ballarat for Sunday.
So, if you are heading to White Night in Ballarat, you might want to pack a jacket.
The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
- Move vehicles under cover or away from trees
- Secure or put away loose items around your house, yard and balcony
- Keep clear of fallen power lines
The next severe weather warning will be issued by 11pm on Saturday.
