The boat is three metres long and one and a half metres high, with a full sail, and will be used as the photo booth for the event.
Ballarat Woodworkers Guild president Ross Holst said a team of six people had been working on creating the boat since November.
“It took us a bit of time to work out how we were going to make it because we have never done one before,” he said.
“We had to design it so it was light enough to be moved but strong enough for kids to sit in.”
The Woodworkers Guild will demonstrate old woodworking skills at the fair on March 24 and 25.
Jousters, mounted archery, living history demonstrations and all things medieval will take visitors to the fair back in time.
Funds raised from the event will be donated to Ballarat Legacy.
The Victorian Goldfields Medieval Faire will run from 10am to 4.30pm at the Ballarat Polocrosee Grounds on Saturday and Sunday.
