A tree branch fell on a moving car in Daylesford just after 12pm on Sunday, when winds reached a speed of 52km/h.
No one was injured in the incident. A section of the Midland Highway was closed while the scene was cleared.

Meanwhile, a team of Ballarat firefighters were helping on scene as fires continue to burn out of control near Terang and Camperdown.
Mr Bower said a strike team of five tankers and firefighters from Wendouree, Sebastopol, Buninyong, Ballarat and Smythes Creek have been based near Terang since Saturday night.
Up to 12 homes were destroyed or damaged in the blazes, with around 40,000 hectares of land damaged, as of Sunday evening.
Around 280 firefighters were working on the out-of-control bush and grass fires, with assistance from 29 aircraft. Victorian emergency officials said many of the fires were started by lightning.
A Salvation Army truck was dispatched from Ballarat on Saturday night with enough bedding for 300 people.
Bedding for 50 people was unloaded in Camperdown, before heading on to Warrnambool where up to 200 people were expected to seek shelter on Sunday night.
Wind is not yet expected to ease, with a maximum wind speed of 39km/h forecast for Ballarat on Monday, according to the Bureau of Meteorology.
The fire danger rating will drop to ‘very high’ for Ballarat and central Victoria on Monday.
