The gold medals came at the fruition of a 8-14 year series which began in Ballarat in February, when six swimmers from age group were selected to represent the district.
Ballarat Swimming Club had 24 progress to semi-finals, Ballarat Gold 23 and Ballarat GCO 22.
Ava Candy, Ben Grima, Ethan Burger, Mackenzie Crocker and Taylor Mason each took gold as Midlands earned 23 medals.

BALLARAT made its presence felt at the Tasmanian Swimming Championships in Hobart.
Ballarat GCO and Ballarat Gold clubs had representatives, with two finishing among the medals where only two non-Tasmanians could advance to finals
Giles Peters (Gold) swam his way into five finals and picked up bronze in the 11/under 100m breaststroke.
He was also fourth in the 200m individual medley and 100m butterfly, trimming 6.17 seconds off his personal best.
Taylor Mason (GCO) was Ballarat’s other medallist.
She went into the 11/under 100m breaststroke finals ranked third and produced another personal best, dropping 4.36 seconds off her original time fto finish with silver. Mason was just touched out of the medals in the 100m butterfly.
Madeline Pryor (11/under) and Justin Lang (12-13 year) also reached finals.
