MICHAEL Griffey's murderer will be brought to justice, according to his heartbroken mother Noela Antonio.Speaking from her Wendouree home yesterday, Ms Antonio said she had faith that police would eventually find who killed her 45-year-old son on December 29, 2005.Mr Griffey, who attended St Francis Xavier College and Sebastopol Technical School before moving to Melbourne, was found in the garage of the family's Pakenham home on January 2, 2006.Police believed he died from head injuries likely to have been caused by a blunt metal object. His estranged wife Diane Griffey, also formerly of Ballarat, had murder charges against her dropped last week due to a lack of evidence.Mr Griffey's son Kenny was also questioned by detectives but was not charged. His daughter Cassandra is also believed to have contacted police."I am leaving it in the police and detectives' hands," Ms Antonio said."I'm heartbroken about it all but I know one day Michael's killer will be found."I'm just keeping my fingers crossed. I just know they (the police) will do their job. I have to have faith."Ms Antonio said she also didn't want to know anything about Mr Griffey's estate or rumours of a $1.5 million life insurance policy set to be paid out this week."I'm just not that interested in that side of the business."Ms Antonio also did not want to comment on claims she now has no contact with her grandchildren.Sunday Herald Sun reports have suggested a meeting will be held in Ballarat this week to divide up Mr Griffey's estate but Ms Antonio said she knew nothing about it."I don't know anything and I don't want to know anything."However, speaking in the Sunday Herald Sun at the weekend, Mr Griffey's sister Katrina Fitzpatrick said she did not want his wife or children to get her brother's "work money"."If they get that money, to me, that's Michael's work money and he worked hard and those kids got everything _ cars, the lot."Michael and Diane Griffey operated a successful plaster transport business.
