While usually a tight contest between the two teams, Warrnambool had the upper hand when Isabel Wilkinson and Chloe Paredes both found the back of the net in the first half of the round six Ballarat and District Soccer Association clash on Sunday.
Paredes scored again at the 59-minute mark to make it 3-0, before Leah Cushion scored the first for North. Two more goals late in the game from the Rangers’ Wilkinson and Laura Mirtschin cemented the win.
Meanwhile, Ballarat Eureka Strikers continue to hold onto second spot after defeating Forest Ranger 1-0.
Goal Keeper Chloe Stevens scored the winning goal at the 85-minute mark to get the points from what was a tough contest at Morshead Park.
The final women’s division one game took place at Trekardo Park with Bacchus Marsh forfeiting against Ballarat.
