POLICE are on the hunt for a Clunes man who breached his parole conditions after being released from jail last year.Travis Martin, 25, was living in Clunes after being released from prison in the latter half of last year but has since failed to comply with his parole conditions.Detective Sergeant Mick Gunn, of Operation Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement, said police believed he may still be in the Clunes or Ballarat area and appealed for public assistance to find him.Mr Martin served jail time for deception and assault offences but Det Sgt Gunn said there was no cause for members of the public to be alarmed that authorities did not know his exact location.He said the Clunes man would face a return to jail when police caught up with him.Mr Martin was named as one of Victoria's top 12 parole breakers police are hunting as part of Operation ROPE.Detective Inspector Bernie Rankin said this was the second year Victoria Police had run the operation in conjunction with the Adult Parole Board and the Office of Corrections.Police have urged anyone who knows of Mr Martin's whereabouts to phone Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or to report it to www.crimestoppers.com.au.
