BALLARAT Clarendon College is one victory away from claiming its fifth consecutive elite country school football title.BCC easily accounted for Emmanuel College in yesterday's Herald Sun Country Cup semi-final, defeating the Warrnambool school 12.9 (81) to 4.2 (26) at Derrinallum. The Ballarat school will now contest the Country Cup grand final at TEAC Oval in Port Melbourne, against Shepparton's Wanganui Park Secondary College on Tuesday.College coach Shaun Maloney said yesterday's victory against Emmanuel was a major step towards securing the school's fifth straight Cup."Traditionally the semi-final against Emmanuel is the hardest game. Last year we only beat Emmanuel by two points and we went on to win the Country Cup," Moloney said."This group is probably a stronger group than last year's. We don't know a lot about Wanganui Park. We played Notre Dame from Shepparton in the grand final for the last few years, so Wanganui would not have made the grand final unless they had a handy side."Moloney said BCC started well before a mini revival from the Warrnambool school. However the Ballarat school proved too strong, with a four-goal final term."We got away from them in the end," said Shaun Moloney."We were up by five goals in the first quarter. They outscored us in the second and third but we were able to kick clear in last quarter."DETAILSBallarat Clarendon College 12.9 (81) d Emmanuel College 4.2 (26)BCC - goals: Lucas Cook 3, Bill Barry 3, Sebastian Ross, Blair Whelan, Serge Campana, Shaun Massey, Jesse Murphy, Coleman Schache.BCC - Best: Bill Barry, Coleman Schache, Sebastian Ross, Lucas Cook, Wilbur Pomorin, Kurt Aylett, Ben Maybon, Pat Barber.
