PROMISING Ballarat cyclists will have a chance to share the stage with cycling's elite in October.Thirty-three students have qualified for the Victorian Schools Cycling Championship state final.Each earnt their spot with a podium finish in last week's Central Highlands regional finals at Victoria Park.St James' Parish School had six sub-junior qualifiers while Ballarat Grammar School and Ballarat Clarendon College were the leading secondary college performers.Cyclists competed from under-19 down to under-13s in men's and women's, racing and novice categories.The regional finals drew entries from across Ballarat, Daylesford, Geelong and the Bellarine Peninsula.Jersey winners each pulled on the colours for the UCI Road Cycling World Championships, set to hit Geelong roads in late September.State qualifiersUnder-19 racing: Ciaran Conaughton (SPC), James Crafter (BGS), Harry Crothers (BCC), Molly Hegert (LC).Under-19 novice: Ben Huggett (BGS), Nick Brown (SPC), Sam Willersdorf (BCC), Holly Williamson (BSC), Josie Gamble (BGS).Under-17 racing: Thomas Hamilton (BCC), Liam White (BCC), Hugo Tolliday (SPC), Emily Wordie-Thompson (BCC).Under-17 novice: Will Stewart (BGS), Beau McIntosh (SPC), Jack Thompson (BGS), Lauren Bailey (Sebastopol College).Under-15 racing: Angus Lyons (BCC), Joshua Liston (Sebastopol College), Emma Bilston (LC), Emily Oliver (BGS).Under-15 novice: Hugh Ingram (BGS), Hugh Ellett (BGS).nder-13 racing: Dylan Bilston (Urquart PS), Declan Dickson (St James), Clancy Dickson (St James), Kate Lyons (BCC), Rochelle Liston (St James).Under-13 novice: Tyson Cody (St James), Bailey Cody (St James), Grade Mader (St Patrick's), Felicity Liston (St James).
