IT's on again, the 15th annual Cops 'n' Kids weekend. The four-day camp aims to give children undergoing treatment at the Royal Children's Hospital some much needed respite.More than 60 children will attend this year's camp, taking place on November 19-22, and they will take in all the sights and sounds Ballarat has to offer.Co-founder of the project Sergeant John Moloney of Ballarat Police said the weekend not only put smiles on the kids faces, but also gave parents a bit of rest. Each child has one carer to accompany them on the camp, giving parents a much needed break."It gives mum and dad a bit of respite for the weekend," he said. The children, aged between four and eight, will visit Sovereign Hill, the Ballarat airport, swim at the university and participate in a number of activities.Robert Cambell, who donated $800 to the project, said he didn't think twice about contributing to the project. He raised the money by selling his book The Best Show Ever, which focuses on the 150th anniversary of the historic Clunes Show."Where else could you get a better program than Cops 'n' Kids?" he said.
