ISAAC Smith will play with Hawthorn in the AFL next year.The North Ballarat premiership and former Redan player was selected by the Hawks with pick number 19 in the first round of tonight's AFL national draft on the Gold Coast.Smith and three North Ballarat Rebels - Lucas Cook, Tom McDonald and Ben Mabon - were been drafted.Smith's drafting completes a meteoric rise.The 21-year-old began last season with Redan in the Ballarat Football League and moved to the Roosters in the VFL mid-season after playing in the Australian Country Football Championships.Smith hails friom Cootamundra in NSW and moved to Ballarat to attend university three-years ago.Smith followed the selection of North Ballarat Rebels key forward LUCAS COOK by Melbourne.The Demons used their first round selection of 12 to snare the tall youngster.Cook is from Hopetoun in the Southern Mallee.Cook's Rebels teammate TOM McDONALD from Edenhope will join him at Melbourne.The Demons selected him with pick 53 in the third round.BEN MABON from Hay in NSW went to North Melbourne.He was the Kangaroos' selection at number 71.
