NORTH Ballarat Roosters ruckman Orren Stephenson will launch an AFL career with reigning premier Geelong.Stephenson joins the Cats at the age of 29.Geelong selected the VFL's number one ruckman with pick 78.Stephenson is a three-time premiership player with the Roosters, having been recruited from Redan.The Cats have lost number one ruckman Brad Ottens to retirement, while another big man Mark Blake has also retired.For North Ballarat Rebels were also drafted.Seb Ross was the first North Ballarat Rebel selected in the draft.St Kilda picked up the midfielder with selection 25.Ross hails from Horsham Demons in the Wimmera Football League.He is a nephew of Essendon legend Tim Watson and first cousin of Bombers captain Jobe Watson.Ironically, Tim Watson is a former St Kilda coach.Ross has been joined on an AFL list by Rory Taggert, who is also from Horsham Demons.Melbourne selected Taggert with pick 36.He is the third Rebels drafted by Melbourne in two years.The Demons chose Lucas Cook and Tom McDonald 12 months ago.Tom Downie becomes the latest quality young basketballer to make the switch, being drafted by Greater Western Sydney at number 56.Downie hails from Benalla, having made the move to Ballarat to pursue is basketball career before joining the Rebels late this season.Nick O'Brien will fulfill his AFL dream with Essendon.The Bombers selected the Carngham-Linton youngster with pick 59. options={AutoStart:false,DefaultQuality:"High",PlayerWidth:463,PlayerHeight:260}Click here to view the North Ballarat Rebels hopefuls
