Emergency services were called out to an incident about 2.10pm on Thursday afternoon to find a car outside of UFS Pharmacies in Doveton Street North.
Ballarat City Fire Brigade senior station officer Cory Woodyatt said there was an electrical fault under the bonnet of the car, which had sparked the blaze.
The fire was soon extinguished and the car pushed out of the carpark.
