CONGRATULATIONS and thank you to both The Courier and the Moorabool Shire for helping to make the celebrations marking the 150th anniversary of the opening of the Geelong/Ballarat railway, last weekend, such a success.
The communities of Lal Lal, Yendon and Navigators all had really well attended events. The council had provided grants to mark significant sites and assisted by mowing and with signage. The Courier's coverage ensured that people knew the events were happening. Congratulations are also due to the history groups. Well done all.
