Jervois chases jumps hat trick

JERVOIS will endeavour to remain unbeaten over the jumps when he faces the starter in Ballarat on Sunday.

From the strong jumping stable of Robert Smerdon, Jervois will carry the top weight in the QLS Logistics 0-120 Hurdle, 3200m.

This event is one two hurdle races to open the day and mark the return of jumps racing to Ballarat after an absence of a few seasons.

Jervois went over the hurdles for the first time last year, winning his only two tries at Pakenham.

On the second occasion he had the better of Gotta Take Care, which is again meets at Dowling Forest.

Gotta Take Care is also showing promise over the jumps with a win and second in two starts.

The seven-year-old comes off a third over 2406 at Caulfield for this assignment.

The 0-120 hurdle has attracted seven acceptors and the QLS Logistics Maiden Hurdle, 3200m, has a capacity 12 plus an emergency.
