CENTRAL Highlands Netball League will not be involved in senior interleague next month.
The Highlanders had committed their interest in taking on a side from the Ellinbank and District competition, but their rivals were unable to field a team.
It had been thought a netball encounter would have been a great way to compliment the Central Highlands Football League's senior interleague revival, where it will play for the first time in 15 years on May 26.
Central Highlands Netball League president Kristi Pedretti said it was a disappointing result.
"We had a great group of girls and coaches interested so it is a bit disappointing, especially when the footballers are doing it," she said.
"It's always good to join forces and represent."
