BFL youth girls' team expands

BALLARAT Football League youth girls' football competition has expanded to seven teams.

The BFL today announced Bacchus Marsh and Riddells Creek were the latest of three new teams to join the competition for its second season.

Riddells Creek is the first non-traditional BFL club to enter a team.

Lake Wendouree, which is also new, featured in a home and away draw released pre-season.

Bacchus Marsh and Riddells Creek are late inclusions.

They join Golden Point, Redan, Sebastopol, and Ballarat, which played in six rounds and a finals series last year.

This season will comprise 14 home and away rounds, with a grand final on September 9.

ROUND ONE:

Noon: Golden Point v Redan

1.30pm: Sebastopol v Ballarat

3.00: Lake Wendouree v Bacchus Marsh
