CHFL: Wickers stun Daylesford

CRESWICK pulled off one of the upsets of the season, triumphing over Central Highlands Football League giants Daylesford by 12 points at Doug Lindsay Reserve.

The Wickers led the contest at every change and hung on to record their second win of the season.

Tyler Booth booted a match-high four goals for the winners in a low-scoring affair.

In a round of close results, former Lexton Plains powerhouses Carngham-Linton and Skipton played out a thrilling draw at Linton, Bungaree ran over the top of Newlyn to win by eight points, Beaufort got over a gallant Clunes by a point, Waubra sit four points clear at the top of the ladder after a 13-point victory against Dunnstown, Tom Eltringham booted six goals as Springbank recorded a 16-point win away to Ballan, Hepburn was far too good for Gordon, as was Rokewood-Corindhap for Illabarook.

The final match of round four is being played between Buninyong and Learmonth tonight.
