I HAVE many happy memories of the bluestone gutters.
My parents bought our family home in 1923. My brother and I, with neighbouring children, had great fun sailing sticks (sometimes mum's pegs) down the gutters on rainy days and seeing whose stick (or peg) came out first from under bridges.
Since then, my children, then my grandchildren and now my great-grandchildren have enjoyed the same pleasure and fun as we did.
My grandmother lived here with my parents for a short while so we have had six generations live on holiday in this home.
All enjoying sailing sticks down the gutter great fun and it hasn't cost a "penny" or a "cent".
