A FLASHMOB in support of the International Day Against Homophobia froze shoppers in their tracks at the Bridge Mall yesterday.
Forty members of the Zaque youth group froze at the mall for 45 minutes before revealing personally designed t-shirts.
The Zaque program aims to create awareness about gay and transgender issues and to celebrate diversity.
Ballarat Councillor Des Hudson said it was a unique opportunity for Ballarat gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and intersex people to share information with the wider community.
“Ballarat is a town of great diversity and it is important that the whole community embrace people from all walks of life,” Cr Hudson said.
