PAT Shaw finished third in the second stage of the Tour of Japan today.
With Genesys teammate Anthony Giacoppo out with the flu, Shaw produced a big finish to get on the podium in the 160.7km stage.
He began the day in 23rd position, 12 seconds behind the leader after a 2.65km time trial on Sunday.
He is now eighth, 11 seconds off the pace.
