NETBALL: Pride keeps grip on second in 19/unders

UB Ballarat Pride moved closer to a Victorian Netball League 19 and under final campaign with a commanding 14-goal victory over VU Western Lightning last night.

While the unbeaten City West Falcons are well clear at the top of the ladder with five rounds remaining, Pride retained a grip on second position.

With 10 wins, Ballarat is a game ahead of Boroondara Genesis.

As well as it is placed, Pride does have a testing run home.

It has games against City West Falcons (round 15), fifith-placed Monash University Central (round 16) and Boroondara Genesis (round 18) to come.

There was no joy last night though for Ballarat in the championship or division one.
